So Dear Reader...about me: Well, I love reading, writing, and playing games. Laughing with friends and family is one of my favorite sports! Oh, and horses, volunteering, and I love the color purple!! I have volunteered with many organizations, including as an AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and hospice volunteer. With a social work background, I also worked as a hospice volunteer coordinator until retirement. 

As a Peace Corps volunteer in Guyana, South America, I spent three and a half years working with kids. I am a mother, grandmother, friend, and neighbor. I'm a lifelong learner and I subscribe to the Peter Pan theory...we grow older, but we don't have to grow up (completely!)  I cherish child-like wonder, and I spend a lot of time in Mexico, enjoying the rich Mexican culture.
